Expression or Destiny Number or Name Number

The Expression Number, often referred to as the Destiny Number, is an important Core Number in Numerology. Derived from ALL the letters in your FULL BIRTH NAME, it symbolizes the opportunities you have at your disposal, reveals your inner goals, the person you aim to be, and the talents, abilities, and shortcomings that were with you when you entered your human body.

Easy Steps to Calculate Destiny Number:

• Choose your birth name. Remember it should not be an alias, adopted name or name was chosen under specific circumstances.

• Add all the numbers associated with your full name. It should include your first name, middle name and last name.

• Reduce the number into a single digit. If it comes as a double-digit number then add the two digit to be one digit. For instance, if the number comes as 13 then it should be reduced to 1+3= 4.

Expression (aka Destiny) Number is one of the Core Numbers that include your Life Path Number, Heart's Desire (aka Soul Urge), Day Number (the day you were born on), and Personality Number.

Note: Whether the Y in your name (if you have one) should be treated as a vowel or a consonant is automatically determined. To force the Y to be used as a consonant, use the asterisk * symbol in its place, and to force the Y to be used as a vowel use the pound # symbol in its place. Your Expression Number is derived from ALL THE LETTERS of your FULL NAME at birth.

Example Calculation 1: John Winston Lennon

i] Assign a number from the chart to each letter in your FULL BIRTH NAME. This should be done separately for your First Name, Middle Name (if you have one), and Last Name (surname).

ii] Add the numbers, and if needed, reduce them down until you have a single digit value.

1 + 6 + 8 + 5 = 20 = 2 5 + 9 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 5 = 33 3 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 6 + 5 = 29 = 11 iii] Add these results together and again reduce until you have a single digit value to get your Expression/Destiny Number.
